Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry
A flavorful stir-fry featuring tender chicken pieces coated in a spicy honey garlic sauce, served with vibrant vegetables over rice.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup snap peas
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional, for heat)
- 2 cups cooked rice
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Method
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 min.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for 1-2 min until fragrant.
- Stir in the sliced bell peppers and snap peas, cooking for another 3-4 min until just tender.
- In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, and sriracha (if using).
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for another 2-3 min until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables such as broccoli or zucchini if desired.
