Chinese Stir-Fried Chicken with Vegetables
A flavorful and colorful stir-fry featuring tender chicken and a mix of fresh vegetables, perfect for a family meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snow peas
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
Method
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced chicken to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 min.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and snow peas. Stir-fry for another 3-5 min until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, stirring to combine.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 min.
- Remove from heat and serve over cooked rice.
