Slow Cooker Beef and Mushroom Stew
A hearty and comforting beef and mushroom stew, slow-cooked to perfection with a blend of vegetables and aromatic herbs.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- In a large bowl, season the beef with salt and pepper.
- In a slow cooker, combine the beef, mushrooms, green beans, onion, and garlic.
- In a separate bowl, mix the beef broth, thyme, rosemary, and Worcestershire sauce; pour over the meat and vegetables in the slow cooker.
- Stir to combine and ensure the beef is submerged in the liquid.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hr or until the beef is tender.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
